Warning on the Use of LPG Cylinder

Sep 02, 2021

As a kind of life energy, liquefied petroleum gas(LPG) has been widely used in ordinary people's homes. Because of its cleanliness, sanitation and simple ignition, it is generally welcomed. However, in recent years, explosions of liquefied petroleum gas cylinders have occurred from time to time, causing huge losses to the lives and properties of some families. In order to ensure the safety of using bottle LPG, you must be familiar with the following warnings when using LPG cylinders

How to Use LPG Cylinders Safely?

  1. When using liquefied petroleum gas, check the LPG cylinder first and use it later; close the valve first and then turn off the flame. Before ignition, make preparations, open doors and windows, and ventilate. If there is a leakage of liquefied gas in the room, ventilation must be strengthened, and the ignition can be performed after the smell disappears.
  2.  New steel cylinders must be carefully inspected. Before using for the first time, new gas-filled cylinders should be visually inspected, and use soapy water to check whether the bottle body, angle valve, pressure reducing valve, hose and other interfaces are leaking. .
  3. The user should always check whether the liquefied gas equipment is intact or not, and pay attention to pipes, cooker switch devices, angle valves, pressure reducing valves, hose joints, hoses, gaskets, sealing rings, etc., to prevent the occurrence of aging devices and lax sealing. leakage. 4. Overdue steel cylinders should be inspected in time and cannot be used improvised. Cylinders have a service life of 15 years, and they are inspected every
  4. years during this period. A bottle that exceeds the inspection expiration date is a bomb!
  5. The burning appliance should be supervised when it is in use to prevent the fire from being blown out by the wind and overflowing with water and soup to extinguish the fire.
  6. Do not place the cylinder near the heat source, do not place the steel cylinder in a place where the temperature is too high, do not place the steel cylinder near an open flame, and do not pour the cylinder with boiling water or bake the cylinder with an open flame. Under normal circumstances, the distance between the steel cylinder and the stove should not be less than 1 meter. If the steel cylinder and the stove are connected by a hose, the length of the hose should preferably not exceed 2 meters. When placing the steel cylinder, it is required to maintain a safe distance of at least 0.5 meters from the outside of the cooker and 1 meter from the heating equipment.
  7.  The houses using liquefied gas should be ventilated to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning due to reduced oxygen content in the indoor air and insufficient combustion.
  8. The cylinder must be used upright, and remember not to use it horizontally or upside down.
  9.  Use the correct ignition method: first turn on the angle valve switch of the cylinder, and then turn on the switch on the stove to ignite.
